Working across sculpture, installation, performance, the moving image and sound, Cos Ahmet’s recent works have enquired into the interventions with the human subject and its interaction with the materials that enter his practice. As new works evolve, the body’s ‘physical’ presence is becoming less visible, making way for the ‘invisible interventions’ that the body performs to occur, perpetuating and developing alternative ways of considering the body and its relationship to the materials in his practice, to slowly establish new discourses.

(b. 1973, London) lives and works in the Liverpool City Region. Cos holds an MA Fine Art (with distinction) from John Moores, Liverpool School of Art & Design (2019 - 2021), studying under Imogen Stidworthy, Bedwyr Williams, Rory Macbeth & Chris Evans, having previously studied a BA (Hons) Fine Art Textiles at Middlesex University, London, & Foundation Diploma in Art & Design at The Hyde Institute, London.

Cos is currently on a year long mentor-led online programme with Conditions (running from November 2024 - October 2025), under the mentorship of Conditions Associate & Vienna-based artist, James Lewis, as he continues to develop his current practice.
